Seeking the astonishing within the ordinary, an imp within often compels me to look at the underside of things, rather than the beautiful bits.
I shoot simply, with no setup, props or even intentions.
I kayak and hike Wisconsin’s state parks and other wild places near and far, attempting to absorb the breadth of nature. I prowl train yards, breathing in the iron and oil and graffiti and ghostings of present and past.
Believing photos and words have tremendous power, I know they can inspire, soothe, excite, enrage, heal, move us to action or help us understand the world around us.
I photograph broken structures, insects, train graffiti, weird signs, wild places, aerial views from plane windows, whatever catches my eye, as long as I can get at it with my lens. I believe these things can help heal our spirit and stimulate our mind.
All photographs on the upcoming site will be available for purchase
as either digital or print pieces, framed or print only, in the size of your choice.
Any photo can be requested as a blank note card with matching envelope.(Samples below) A number of images that work well with overlaid text will be available as personalized cards.
Images will be available as digital or printed cards.
You can purchase as displayed or just add a name, if you choose to.
Or submit your own text for a customized card, which I encourage.
All cards are "handmade" by me, for you.
If you'd like to purchase any print or card you see here, just hit the email envelope near the top and ask me whatever you want. Until the "official" site is up, I already produce prints and cards and can fulfill any requests.
Cards are made with heavy Kraft paper with picture frame insert and removeable 4 x 6 photo
